More about Phetchaburi
Phetchaburi is a place worth visiting for its splendid historical park and ancient temples, wonderful beaches and caves, also well there are a huge variety of local food. It is a town with a lot of history because it was founded in the 7th century by the Mons and was a very important enclave during the Khmer Empire.
What to visit in Phetchaburi?
Four kilometers from the town there is the Khao Luang Cave, very famous for the hundreds of Buddha´s images. The most famous is a image of the reclined Buddha. You can also visit the Royal Palace a very important monument for the town. After doing a historical visit, you can enjoy the Puek Tian Beach where there are some statues in the sea.
How to get to Phetchburi?
You can take a train from Hua lampong station in Bangkok which takes about 4 hours or go to the South Bus Terminal and take a bus that takes 2 hours to get to Phetchburi.
