There are plenty of things to do and experience in Phuket, from fine dining to various excursions to neighboring islands even shopping and nightlife. If you wish to stay in one of the larger beach resorts, you are always in a walking distance from the beach. Alternatively, you can rent a scooter or a car and move around the island, visit tourist attractions such as a big Buddha statue, elephant show, various temples and many more. This variety inspired many tourists to return and try a different place and some have even chosen Phuket to retire. More urban places in Phuket enjoy round the clock lifestyle, the nightlife begins at sunset and you can still meet people on the beach at sunrise having their cup of coffee, watching the daybreak. If you stayed in one of the beachfront hotels, you can lounge by a pool, have a meal then go for a walk, enjoy a massage on a beach or just shop for souvenirs. If you enjoy activity you can go for a parasailing ride or rent a jet ski.
