Rawai village is an exotic place to visit in Phuket. It is a combination of beautiful beaches, an idiosyncratic culture of the sea gypsies and beautiful landscapes. Visiting Rawai village is not all about interacting with the locals. There are so many attractions and places that are waiting for you to explore. Places to visit while at Rawai Village are;
Rawai Beach
Rawai beach is a palm-fringed beach and unlike a typical modern beach, it has that traditional fishing village atmosphere. It is, however, a scenic place for sightseeing and water sports activities. The most common are, fishing, island hopping, scuba diving and snorkeling. You can relax at the shady beach as you enjoy the scenic views of the surrounding and the crystal blue waters of the calm sea. Boat tours are one of the great ways to explore Rawai Village. If you get enough of Rawai beach, there are other amazing beaches nearby that you can also explore. They are Laem Ka Beach, Yanui beach and Nai Harn Beach. All these beaches are great spots for swimming, unlike Rawai beach which is not suitable for swimming because the waters are very shallow.
Promthep Cape
This is the most famed place and the chief attraction in Rawai. It is a high cliff area that provides uninterrupted views of the Andaman Sea. Here you will get a spectacular view of the sunset that is romantic. It is a popular place for taking photos that attracts thousands of tourists every year. There is a shrine within that is full of hundreds of elephants. The cape has a lighthouse at the top where you can climb and get amazing views of the surroundings.
